Millican Named MWC Coach of the Year

SUNRIVER, Ore. - University of New Mexico head men's golf coach Glen Millican picked up his second Mountain West Conference Coach of the Year award and junior Spencer Levin and sophomore Charlie Beljan were named to the MWC All-Conference team announced by the MWC at the MWC Championships on Saturday.

Millican in his fourth season led UNM to a third consecutive MWC Championship along with four regular season championships. The Lobos this season have been ranked in the top-5 all season including a number one ranking earlier this season. This season the Lobos have a 134-25-2 record. Millican also won the award in 2003.

Levin earned his second consecutive MWC All-Conference award. Levin finished second in the MWC Championships and has won three tournaments this season. Levin has a stroke average of 69.73, which ranks him second in the country. This season Levin has finished in the top-10 nine times in 11 tournaments.

Beljan also earned his second consecutive MWC All-Conference award. Beljan was the 2004 MWC Freshman of the Year and continued to play well in his sophomore campaign. Beljan is ranked 66th in the country and has a stroke average of 71.97. This season Beljan has finished in the top-20 seven times in ten events, including a tie for seventh at the MWC Championships.
