- UNM looses to UNLV for the first time since dropping a 2-0 match to the Rebels on Oct. 18, 2003 in Albuquerque. It is their first loss in Las Vegas since a 2-0 defeat on Nov. 10, 2002.
- The overtime loss to the Rebels is just the second time UNM has lost an overtime game in head coach Jeremy Fishbein's tenure at New Mexico. The only other time New Mexico had lost an OT game under Fishbein was against San Jose State in 2005. UNM is now 17-2-12 in overtime games since the start of the 2002 season.
- Tonight's loss is just the third time UNM has surrendered a lead in Fishbein's tenure. UNM is 74-3-7 when scoring first under Fishbein.
- With a 9-4-1 record on the year, New Mexico has the most losses in the regular season since posting an 8-9-3 mark in 2003.
