ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. --- The Howl was a blast last Friday! It was so much fun going back to the Santa Ana Star Center. We were so excited when we arrived to see how many cars were there already. That was pretty neat. To have 3,500 fans at the Howl says a lot about the kind of fans we have and proves again, that we really do have the best fans in the nation.

It was fun to play in a game type setting and to compete in the 3 point contest. It was no surprise to me that both the scrimmage and the 3-point contest were extremely close and competitive. A lot of players have improved their shot over the summer and I feel they are ready to step up and knock some down in games. I think the highlight of the Howl was Nikki's dribbling exhibition. I've seen her do it about five times now and it never gets old! The was she can keep both balls going at the same speed and pace and have such rhythm is amazing to me.

It is nice to have 3 hour practices now and be able to cover a lot of drills in one day. We are learning and improving everyday in practice and it is really fun to see. We have a scrimmage Saturday in the Rudy Davalos Center so I'm excited about that. I even heard rumors that Val is going to be doing a dribbling exhibition! You don't want to miss that!
