ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - University of New Mexico women's basketball head coach Don Flanagan announced the remaining game times and broadcast schedule for the 2006-07 women's basketball season today. The Lobos will play a total of six games on television, with three of them on nationally.
All Lobo women's basketball games will be shown on either CSTV, which is available nationally, or the mtn. which is currently shown on cable systems in New Mexico, Colorado, Utah, Wyoming and Idaho. Additionally, the Mountain West Conference is continuing negotiations with cable distributors in the San Diego, Las Vegas and Fort Worth markets, plus satellite carriers DirecTV and Dish Network.
UNM opens the season on Nov. 10 at 2:30 p.m. (M.S.T.) against Florida Atlantic at the Veteran's Day Classic hosted by Arizona State in Tempe, Ariz. The first home game for the Lobos will be Nov. 17 at 7:00 p.m. (M.S.T) against Texas, which is also the first game on the mtn.
The Lobos' three nationally televised games are Utah (Jan. 7), TCU (Feb. 25) and at UNLV (Mar. 1) all on CSTV. The other two games on the mtn. are at Wyoming (Jan. 4) and at TCU (Jan. 24). For season ticket information call the UNM Ticket Office at (505) 925-LOBO.
