Eggleston, Durie Continue To Lead Tournament

Albuquerque, N.M.- Sophomore Manumea Durie and freshman Kristin Eggleston continue their winning streak in both doubles and singles after the conclusion of day two of the Southwest Collegiate Invitation.

The duo dominated in doubles defeating UTEP's Veronika Makashov and Carla Murguia, 8-3.

Durie quickly defeated Stephanie Shelton from Western New Mexico, 6-1, 6-0.

Eggleston overpowered Nikolina Vukadin from Western New Mexico, 6-2, 6-2.

Eliane Bourdages dominated Davida Aragon from Western New Mexico, 6-1, 6-0.

Michaela Oldani put up a fight as she battled with Sarah Nogan from Western New Mexico. After winning the first set in a close 7-5, Oldani lost the second set 3-6. The freshman came back to take the third set 6-3.

The Lobos will be back in action tomorrow for the final day of the Southwest Collegiate Invitational, beginning at 9 a.m. with doubles.
