COSTA MESA, Calif. --- University of New Mexico men's tennis team continued their success during the second day of the fall season. Three of the four Lobos in Costa Mesa, Calif., won their matches at the Costa Mesa ATP Futures Tournament to continue their stay. Max Jones, Kamil Pajkowski, and Graeme Kassautzki all won their matches on Saturday (Sept. 15) while Johnny Parkes lost in three sets to the number eight seed of the tournament. Jones, Pajkowski, and Kassaustzki need to win two more matches to qualify for the main draw.
In Las Cruces, N.M., Lobos Derek Lynch and Joe Wood each went 1-1 on the day, while Miles Bugby struggled to find a win all day. Both doubles pairs also lost their matches. The combination of Wood and Bugby lost to Ryan Hudson and Juan Nunez from ACU. Lynch teamed up with Northern Arizona's David Flodberg but lost their match to Ravid Hazi and David Humphrey from the University of Arizona. Play at the NMSU Fall Invite wraps up today (Sept. 15) in Las Cruces.
