ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.---The University of New Mexico women's soccer team recorded its second win of the season as the Lobos defeated Nebraska 3-0 on Sunday afternoon at the UNM Soccer Complex. The Lobos were able to capitalize on their scoring opportunities as they found the back of the net three times with seven shots on goal.
Nebraska finished the game with eight shots on goal but a stellar performance by sophomore goalkeeper Kelli Cornell and the New Mexico defense prevented the visiting squad from scoring.
