New Mexico Head Coach Don Flangan
"It always seems like at home we feel more relaxed shooting threes. For some reason on the road we're tentative with our threes. Defensively, I thought we could've done better. We need to do a better job of blocking out, especially against our next opponent (UNLV). Getting rebounds, we need a good job there. Shooting is good. I'm encouraged by the shooting. We're still a little hesitant in the first half about our offense. We need to get a little more activity and a little more screening on offense in the first half. In the second half, we seem more relaxed and work the ball around and got pretty much the shot we wanted."
"(San Diego State) played well. The early part of the second half, they kept it close and then all of a sudden we went on a run and they stopped hitting shots. Down the stretch I was pretty happy with the blocking out. We got a chance to play everybody on the team and that's always good."
