New Mexico Ranked Ninth and 14th in Preseason Golf Polls

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - The University of New Mexico men's golf team is ranked in the top-15 in two separate preseason polls. The Lobos garnered a number nine ranking in Golfweek magazine and a number 14 ranking in Golf World magazine. The top ranked team in Golfweek is Florida, while Golf World selects Georgia as the preseason favorite. The MWC also has UNLV ranked sixth and seventh and BYU 11th and 15th. Junior Spencer Levin also garnered recognition as the second best collegiate golfer in both publications. Levin is behind UNLV senior Ryan Moore in both polls. New Mexico opens the season in Fukushima, Japan with the Topy Cup on September 7-9.
