Lobos Conclude Play At Jayhawk Invitational

Kansas City, Mo.- The University of New Mexico women's tennis team wrapped up their last fall road trip today at the Jayhawk Invitational. The Lobos walked away with 17 wins. Freshman Laura Richardson and sophomore Manumea Durie both ended the weekend 3-1 overall in singles.

Richardson defeated Jasmine Lee from Iowa State in a close match. The Missouri native lost the first set 3-6 but came back to take the second 6-4. In a close third set Richardson took the win at 11-9.

Durie dominated Kate Goff from Kansas, 6-1, 6-1.

In doubles play Michaela Oldani and Amy Shipperd came away with a win over Marina Chumak and Ana Gomez-Aleman from Kansas State. The duo won the match 8-6.

The Lobos will be back in action Nov. 6 at home for the Southwest Collegiate Invitational.
