ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. --- New Mexico senior forward Dionne Marsh scored a game-high 17 points as New Mexico rolled passed Air Force, 79-40. Sophomore Georonika Jackson recorded her career-high, adding 10 points as the Lobos improved to 14-11 overall and 6-6 in the Mountain West Conference.

The game started off slowly with the Lobos taking a slim 4-3 lead with 15:24 left in the first half, but New Mexico rattled off an impressive 14-0 run to stretch their lead to 18-3 with 9:07 left in the half. The Lobos went into the break up, 35-15, their largest lead of the half. The stifling Lobos defense held the Falcons to their lowest first-half output of the season.

The Lobos continued to punish Air Force, outscoring the Falcons, 44-25, in the second half. New Mexico had one of their best defensive efforts of the season, holding the Falcons to a season-low 14 field goals and 25.9 percent shooting from the field. Marsh was an impressive 8 of 10 from the field, connecting on her ninth career three-pointer, and adding eight rebounds. All 13 Lobos scored in the game.

Up next, the Lobos take on No. 18 Utah on Saturday, Feb. 23, at 1 p.m., inside The Pit. Joe Behrend and Hazel Tull-Leach will call the action from courtside on 610 AM The Sports Animal.
