The University of New Mexico women's swimming team faced the Rebels of UNLV and the Cowgirls of Wyoming yesterday in Las Vegas, Nev.
The top swimmer for the Lobos' was sophomore Ashley Grisdale who captured a first-place finish in the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 2:05.68. Nanette Wittenberg placed fifth in the same event with a time of 2:09.97. Senior Tori Clarridge finished third in the 100-yard backstroke touching the wall in 58.89.
Grisdale (58.81) also picked up a fourth place finish in the 100-yard butterfly, followed by teammate Jennifer Patterson in fifth place (59.19). The 200-yard medley team consisting of Jaclyn Fedors, Carly Hilo, Nanette Wittenberg and Jennifer Patterson finished fifth (1:51.26).
Carrie Quinn had a strong showing for the divers. Quinn placed second on the 1-meter dive with a score of 265.40.

The Lobos will travel to Ft. Worth, Texas to take on TCU in the final conference meet of the season on Saturday, Jan. 26 at 12pm.
