ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. --- Wow, what a busy week! School started on Monday and it was really good to see all of my teammates again. Everyone had a good summer and is ready to get back to work! We are all adjusting to waking up early, going to class, paying attention in class (for the most part), going to workouts, and then back to class again at night. I think after four days of classes, we are starting to get back into a routine.

It feels good to be working out again with my teammates. Right now, our team is divided into four groups. Half of us start with our strength and conditioning coach, Aaron Day, and the other half start with Coach Flanagan. With Aaron, we lift weights or do some conditioning and with Coach Flanagan, we are doing a lot of skill work and shooting. Although this is the hardest time of the year, it is also a lot of fun because it is a time we can just focus on getting better. It is fun to see the huge improvements in my teammates already from the hard work they put in over the summer.

It is also nice to be back on campus and see some of the other athletes that we have become friends with. Our team in planning on attending a volleyball game or two over the weekend and are excited for their season. Both the men's and women's soccer teams are also underway and football's first game is only a week and a half away. I think all of them have the potential for a great season.
