New Mexico Basketball Postgame Notes
(19 AP / 18 Coaches) UNM at Fresno State
Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2013 *** Fresno, Calif.

• New Mexico improves to 21-4 overall (8-2 MWC, 1st place) after a 54-48 victory at Fresno State (8-15, 2-8 MW)
• The Lobos won by overcoming a 13-point deficit (18-31) late in the 1st half and by scoring the final 9 points of the game...Fresno State had a 48-45 lead after making a 3 with 3:47 left...UNM also had 5 offensive rebounds during that time
• UNM rallied from a double-digit deficit to win for the 4th time this season...the Lobos trailed Davidson by 16, Southern Cal by 10 and by 11 at New Mexico State...UNM trailed 31-18 tonight and 31-20 at halftime
• Over the final 10:02, UNM held the Bulldogs to 3 points on 1-11 shooting, and the Lobos forced 3 turnovers
• New Mexico outscored Fresno State 34-17 in the 2nd half...that's the fewest points allowed by UNM in any half this year
• New Mexico held Fresno State to 27% (7-26) shooting in the 2nd half and 32.7% (18-55) for the game
• The Lobos are 12-1 this year in games decided by 8 points or less
• Under Steve Alford, UNM is 68-2 when allowing less than 60 points, the only losses 59-56 to Louisville in the 3rd round of the 2012 NCAA Tournament and at San Diego State (55-34) on Jan. 26, 2013
• The Lobos are 9-3 away from The Pit this season (6-3 road, 3-0 neutral)...since the start of the 2011-12 season, New Mexico is 23-8 in its last 31 games away from Albuquerque, including a 13-4 record in the past 17
• New Mexico is 44-29 in road games under sixth-year head coach Steve Alford...before Alford came to UNM, it took the Lobos 13 seasons and 136 games (43-93 record between 1995-2007) to get 43 road wins
• UNM is 172-71 all-time when nationally ranked, 118-8 in The Pit, 39-50 on the road and 15-13 neutral
• UNM has made a 3-point FG in 718 straight games...the last game without a 3 was Jan. 3, 1991 at Colorado State (0-for-8)
• New Mexico has a 101-29 record since the start of the 2009-10 season
• UNM seniors Chad Adams and Jamal Fenton won their 101st game as Lobos...the school record is 102 by A.J. Hardeman and Phillip McDonald from 2009-12

• still 25th place all-time at UNM with 1,134 points
• 8th place all-time at UNM with 395 career assists

Sophomore C Alex Kirk
• 10 points, 9 rebounds and a career-high 6 blocks

Junior G Tony Snell
• 10 points and his jumper with 16 seconds left and the shot clock about to expire gave UNM a 52-48 lead
• made his 60th consecutive start

Sophomore PG Hugh Greenwood
• 7 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 steals
• scoreless with 1 rebound in the 1st half
• 6 steals the past 2 games (12 the past 6) and he leads the team with 32
• New Mexico is 46-8 in his 54 career starts

Junior F Cameron Bairstow
• made his 9th start of the season and finished with 6 points and 10 rebounds
• averaging 11.4 points and 6.4 rebounds in his last 5 games as a starter
