ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - Three Lobos scored in double figures and New Mexico handed the New Mexico State Aggies a 65-49 loss. Junior Danny Granger scored a game-high 22 points and grabbed 16 rebounds for his first double-double as a Lobo. Sophomore David Chiotti also recorded a double-double with his 12 points and 11 rebounds. Junior Troy DeVries chipped in 15 points as well.
New Mexico entered the half with a 20-point halftime lead, the largest in the UNM-NMSU series. The previous was 17 set by UNM in 1995.
For the Aggies, James Moore scored a game-high 22 points. Duane John also scored in double figures, with 10.
