DENVER, Colo. - Wyoming may have the Mountain West Conference Coach of the Year in Joe Legerski but No. 1 seeded New Mexico and head coach Don Flanagan have their second consecutive trip to the tournament championship game after a 51-44 come from behind win today at the Pepsi Center in Denver, Colo.

The Cowgirls had a 27-24 lead going into the half and built their lead to 33-27 with 16:34 left in the game, holding the Lobos to just three points in the first seven minutes of the second half. Wyoming outshot the New Mexico in the first half, shooting 47 percent to the Lobos' 33 percent.

The Lobos fought back with a 9-4 run between the 13 and seven minute marks to take the lead. Junior forward Lindsey Arndt hit a jumper with 7:09 left to give New Mexico a 38-37 lead and the Lobos never looked back.

Arndt led the Lobos with 16 points, eight of them scored in the last seven minutes, and nine rebounds. Also scoring in double figures, junior guard Mandi Moore added 11 points and four assists.

Wyoming was led by Kristen Lenhardt whol lead all scorers with 19 points while Michelle Lieber chipped in 11. Junior guard Judy Vogt had an outstanding defensive performance, holding Cowgirl star Ashley Elliott to eight points on 2-14 shooting from the field.

The Lobos take their 10 game win streak into the championship game where they will face either second-seeded Utah or third-seeded UNLV. Tip-off is slated for 4 p.m. tomorrow. The game will be shown by ESPN2 on tape delay at 10:30 p.m.
