Head Coach Don Flanagan
Opening Statement:
"I thought we defended pretty well. That was probably the key to the game. We kept them in the 20 percent range (field goal shooting) in both halves which is pretty good intensity. Rebounding was a factor, we outrebounded them 47-29. I like those numbers. Offensive boards, 12 to their seven, I like that number. And then we shot 25 of 28 free throws. We had the right people shooting, but you know, you hope you have as many players on your team that can knock in free throws as we continue to play. There are a couple of players that can hit them. Of course, Amy (Beggin) was 6 for 6 and Angela (Hartill) was 8 for 8 and those guys are really good free throw shooters."

"Valerie (Kast) hit 2 for 2 and Jessica (Kielpinski) hit 2 for 2. I thought Jess played a nice game with 11 points and she only had two rebounds but I thought she did a pretty good job on defense."

"Overall, I thought the intensity was good early. We had a bit of a breakdown at the end of the first half and the beginning of the second half. We didn't play quite as well as I thought we were capable of but they ran a lot of screens. They (Idaho State) run a pretty good offense. They are hard to defend because you are getting hit with a screen from every direction. I thought that was a good learning experience for our team, just learning to get over screens, because we play in a conference of screeners. That's exactly what we are going to see in conference - up screens, down screens, flare screens and what we call elbow screens. They did a nice job of reading it, they set screens and they slipped it. For the most part we hung in there and everybody did a pretty good job."

Junior Amy Beggin

On playing DePaul Monday:
"DePaul is a really good team. We got to see them play the last two days. They have been a national powerhouse the last couple years, so I think the last two games will help us prepare for tomorrow."

On tying a career-best for assists:
"Well, I'm just trying to play the game. I don't know my stats when I'm out there. Hopefully I can break it one day. If I keep playing with Angela (Hartill) I will hopefully break my mark."

On the steady rotation of players and the productivity:
"I think that's a lot of what we want to do is just get everyone involved. Our first look when we get the ball it is to shoot or attack. We are just trying to get everyone involved in the offense and everyone can take their turns."

On starting slow in the second half:
"We weren't getting out on their players'. we were collapsing down too low. It's just a good reminder to us that no matter what the lead is they can get back in the game really quick. We have to stay focused for 40 minutes and play the whole game."

On playing three games in three nights and what is thebenefit:
"I think it benefits us a lot. It's a lot better than our practices. It's just fun to play a different team. Then play three quality teams like this. It just prepares us for the end of the year. It allows us to focus more on our game instead of the opponent.
