Men's Golf Currently Second After 18-Holes

SAN DIEGO, CALIF. - The University of New Mexico men's golf team is currently second after 18-holes at the par 72, 7088 yard, Barona Creek Golf Club. UNM shot a first round 276 for 12 under par and trails Colorado State by three strokes.

Individually for the Lobos, freshman Charlie Beljan leads the way at five under par and is currently second. Madalitso Muthiya is tied for 12th at three under par, Jay Reynolds and Ian Medlock are two under and tied for 22nd. Finally Tyler Symons is tied for 58th at three over par.

The individual leader after 18-holes is Chris Cousins of UAB at seven under par and leads Beljan by two strokes.

The Barona Cup will conclude tomorrow with the conclusion of the second round and the final 18-holes.
