Carrie Quinn Finishes Third on the 3-Meter Dive

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.---Senior diver Carrie Quinn brought home a third place finish for the Lobos on the three-meter dive with a season-best mark of 287.55. After day two of the competition the University of New Mexico moved up to sixth-place at the Mountain West Conference swimming and diving championships in Oklahoma City. The Lobos have 112.50 points, behind BYU(342), Wyoming (247.50),UNLV (214), and Utah (210), Colorado State (155). TCU, San Diego State and Air Force are behind the Lobos.

Senior Tori Clarridge finished 11th in the 50-yard freestyle with a personal best of 23.96. Theresa Rogers finished 15th in the same event with a personal best time of 24.22.

The Lobos also captured a fifth-place finish in the 200-yard freestyle relay with members Katrina McLoughlin, Sally Bellinger, Theresa Rogers and Tori Clarridge (1:35.58).

Day three finals begin Friday at 5 p.m. The scheduled events are the 400-yard IM, 100-yard butterfly, 200-yard freestyle, 100-yard breaststroke, 100-yard backstroke and the 400-yard medley relay.
