SAN DIEGO, Calif. - New Mexico's final game of the Mountain West Conference Preseason Tournament at Tony Gwynn Stadium in San Diego was postponed after eight innings against the Utah Utes due to team travel arrangements. The Utes, leading 11-4, visit Albuquerque for a three-game series beginning April 21. Today's game will be completed on the 21st prior to the regular season game.

The teams traded runs in the fourth before Utah broke the game wide open, putting five on the board in the fifth for a 9-3 lead. The Utes got five hits in six at bats off of freshman reliever Tim Sloan, capped by a two-RBI double from Ryan Khoury.
