ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. --- In the final day of the HEB Tournament of Champions, the University of New Mexico men's tennis team defeated no. 52 to claim the consolation championship. In an exciting end to the weekend, the Lobos came from behind to win the match 4-3.
After dropping the doubles point to DePaul, New Mexico picked up its first win from no. 5 Conor Berg. Berg secured the win in two sets over Blue Demon Filip Dzanko 6-2, 6-1.
DePaul captured another win after Berg's victory, putting the teams at 3-1. But the determined and relentless Lobos did not let the score deter them.
