DENVER, COLO.--The Lobos came up short in a hard fought match against the University of Denver falling with a score of 4-3.

The Lobos are now 2-4 with six more matches left to play on the road. The Lobos have an overall record this spring season of 7-4.

The Lobos started the match off on the right foot winning all three doubles matches.

At number one doubles, Jadon Phillips and Phil Anderson defeated Bonin/Vorkefeld with a score of 8-6.

Conor Berg and Ben Dunbar finished their match at number two doubles against Biasion/Krammer with a score of 8-4.

Carl Ho and James Hignett now have a record of 8-3 as a doubles team defeating Weihs/Kordasachia with a score of 8-5.

The Lobos took the first point in the dual match. Singles was immediately followed after.

At number one singles, Ben Dunbar took on Enej Bonin. It was a Denver win finishing with a score of 6-4, 6-4.

Jadon Phillips fell in three sets to Yannick Weihs at number two singles. It was a tough loss with UNM winning the first set in a tiebreak. Weihs won with a score of 6-7, 6-3, 6-2.

Phil Anderson played against Jens Vorkefeld at the number three spot. He was defeated with a score of 6-3, 6-2.

At number four singles, Conor Berg was one of two Lobos to win his match. He played against Max Krammer with a score of 6-3, 6-4. Conor Berg is now 9-1 in dual match singles.

Samir Iftikhar played at the number five position against Fabio Biasion. Samir Iftikhar won the first set 7-5 but could not keep the momentum in the match. He fell with a score of 5-7, 6-4, 6-3.

Carl Ho was the second Lobo to win his singles match. He defeated Alex Clinkenbeard with a score of 6-4, 6-4.

The Lobos fought hard winning doubles but the momentum did not quite transfer over to singles, with the exception of Carl Ho and Conor Berg.

The Lobos will travel to the Sparkling City by the Bay for the HEB Invitational in Corpus Christi, Texas on March 2-3, 2012.
