FORT WORTH, Texas --- New Mexico senior Brandi Kimble recorded the fourth double-double of her career with 16 points and 11 rebounds, but it wasn't enough as the Lobos lost in overtime to TCU in Fort Worth, 59-51. The loss dropped UNM to 13-11 and 5-6 on the season.

"We played TCU as well as anyone this season," said UNM head coach Don Flanagan. "We got off to a great start before our offense started to sputter. We got stagnant after Dionne Marsh fouled out."

The Lobos got off to an exciting 11-0 start against the Lady Frogs, but by halftime TCU had cut the UNM lead to six, 24-18.

TCU came out of the intermission with a 12-0 run to take possession of the lead and build to 30-24. The Lobos went on a short 7-0 run, capped by an Amy Beggin jumper to give UNM the lead, 33-32, with 11:17 left in regulation.

The teams continued to battle with TCU sending the game into an extra period on a Lorie Butler-Rayford layup, 46-46, with 1:02 left.

Butler-Rayford quickly put TCU ahead in overtime with four straight points, 50-46, as the Lady Frogs held on for the win.

"We had a chance to win at the end," said Flanagan. "We just need to close out a game and gain some confidence."

Before fouling out in overtime, Marsh scored 14 points and was 7 of 11 from the field. Coming off the bench, Jessica Kielpinski recorded a career-high 10 rebounds.

Up next for the Lobos is Cherry Crush Night at The Pit on Wednesday, Feb. 20. Game time against Air Force is set for 7 p.m. Fans can pick up their Cherry Crush t-shirt and ticket packages for $7.95 at the UNM Bookstore.
