ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. --- The University of New Mexico men's tennis team defeated Sacramento State 4-3 on Wednesday. The Lobos, ranked No. 58, improve to 6-5 on the season.

In doubles, the pairs of Max Jones and Kamil Pajkowski, and Johnny Parkes and Chris Parkes each won their match 8-4 to give the Lobos a one-point lead. Graeme Kassautzki and Joe Wood were down 4-0 before winning the next five games but Hornets' Artur Klimenka and Sven-David Rueff came back to tie the match at 7, then preceded to win the tiebreaker for the 8-7 (7-4) victory.

In singles, Pajkowski made quick work of Ronan Conlon winning 6-1, 6-0 at No. 6. Kassautzki beat Holden Ching 7-5, 6-1 at No. 4 to give the Lobos a 3-0 lead. Chris Parkes gave the Lobos the win with a 6-3, 6-1 victory over Rueff.

The Lobos will spend Friday and Saturday at the HEB Invitational in Corpus Christi, Texas. New Mexico will join seven other programs and will play three matches in the two days.
