ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - The University of New Mexico men's golf team is ranked number one in the latest Golfweek/Sagarin Performance Index rankings. This marks the first time in men's golf school history that the Lobos have claimed the top spot. UNM's index score was 70.58, which is just points ahead of number two Auburn at 70.83.
Junior Spencer Levin is also the top ranked golfer in the index at 68.33. Levin was selected a preseason All-American by Golfweek magazine and was also ranked the number two player in the preseason by both Golfweek and Golf World magazines. Joining Levin in the top-10 is senior Miguel Griego at number nine with a 70.00 index.
