• New Mexico wins its 11th straight game with a 59-56 triumph over Air Force...the Lobos, who started 0-2 in the Mountain West Conference and were picked to finish 5th in the preseason poll, improve to 25-3 overall and 11-2 in the MWC...UNM maintains its lead over BYU for 1st place in the league

• The 59 points is a season-low for UNM, who trailed 54-51 with 2:51 remaining and 56-55 with 26 seconds to go...junior Darington Hobson's lay-in off a Dariese Gary drive and feed gave the Lobos a 57-56 advantage with 16 seconds left

• New Mexico has set a school record by winning 11 straight conference games...the 1977-78 Western Athletic Conference champion Lobos held the previous mark when they started 10-0

• The 11 straight conference wins also ties a Mountain West Conference record...Utah won 11 in a row during the 2004-05 conference season

• The Lobos have won 25 of their first 28 games (25-3) for the 1st time in 107 seasons of basketball
