New Mexico head coach Steve Alford:

Opening Statement:
"I thought it was a really good team effort. This team has been on the road for consecutive games, so to come back home, that is always a difficult deal. We knew we would get a very good shot from them. The shook up their lineup, started five guards, which I don't think they have done maybe this year. I thought our guys really handled it well. We shot the ball well, we moved the ball. We did a lot of good things. Our backboard work was outstanding."

Rebounding offensively:
"That happens, but it is a lot better than missing it and not getting it back. To get 17 offensive rebounds. We get to the line 27 times, so we get 20 points there. We played all 10 guys and all 10 guys got two or more rebounds. Every player scored five or more points. It was just a really good team effort, and I really appreciate the guys' effort."

On sharing the ball:
"That is what we've done most of the year. I thought we had a two-week stretch there where we stopped moving the ball and our turnovers went up a little bit and our shooting percentages went down. We are starting to make the 3-ball again. When we make the 3-ball it opens us up. We go from a good team to maybe a little bit better team. Our athleticism is showing. Will (Brown) and A.J (Hardeman) are getting better game-to-game. Dairese (Gary) was tremendous. He controlled this basketball game."

On BYU game:
"Our bench has had a really good two weeks. If our bench keeps getting better, we can turn into a pretty dangerous team. We are really looking forward to next week. We got a chance to play arguably the best team in our league on our home floor. We are playing well. They are playing well. It will be a great game."

Colorado State Head Coach Tim Miles:

On overall game:
"The first half was just too many turnovers. Again at least 11, maybe 12 turnovers in the first half. They had 13 more shots than we had and two more foul shots so they essentially had 14 more scoring opportunities than we did. You just can't do that when you're on the road...We went smaller and they really beat us up on the glass and the reason for that was because we didn't guard the ball very well. Dairese Gary, Nate Garth, (Jamal) Fenton got in the paint and they put up shots and they might not even be good shots. At the same time (A.J.) Hardeman and (Will) Brown came in and cleaned up and really made us pay."

On playing in the Pit:
"The Pit is a great environment. There's not many like it in the country. We've been to some really great places but there's nothing like it. I think more than anything not only is it the venue but it's the fans. New Mexico fans are just unbelievable. Everywhere you go they're talking about the Lobos; how good the Lobos are, how young the Lobos are. I think that's just an awesome thing for not only the state of New Mexico and the community of Albuquerque but for the University of New Mexico. It's really a cool thing to be a part of and I can't wait to come in here and win one time."
