Albuquerque, N.M.- It was a beautiful day for tennis as the University of New Mexico women's tennis team notched 10 wins today at the Southwest Collegiate Invitational. The Lobos dominated in doubles winning three out of their four matches.

The duo of Amy Shipperd and Michaela Oldani weren't giving any games away as they defeated Western New Mexico's Stephanie Shelton and Emily Lampman, 8-0.

Laura Richardson and Eliane Bourdages notched a win as they overpowered UTEP's Veronika Makoshov and Carla Murguia, 8-1.

Kristin Eggleston and Manumea Durie also were victorious today as they defeated Western New Mexico's Sarah Nogan and Nikolina Vukadin, 8-3.

Eggleston kept the momentum going picking up two singles wins. The Palm Desert, Calif. native picked up her first win against Siobhan Cavan, 6-4, 6-4. Eggleston dominated in her second match against Austin Lavallii, only losing two games, 6-0, 6-2.

Durie also came away with two wins today, her first against Nogan, 6-1, 6-0. Durie defeated Ana Mendes from NAU, 6-1, 6-1.

Anya Villanueva-Forte notched a win over Vukadin, 6-2, 6-1.

Oldani overwhelmed her opponent Davida Aragon of Western New Mexico winning, 6-0, 6-0.

The Lobos will be back in action tomorrow at the Linda Estes Tennis Complex starting at 9 a.m. with doubles.
