Two University of New Mexico women's soccer players have been named to the 2010 National Soccer Coaches Association of America/Performance Subaru All-Pacific Region team.
Junior forward Jennifer Williams was a first-team selection after finishing the season with 8 goals and 7 assists to lead the Lobos. She tallied 23 points in 19 games and was credited with two game-winning goals. Williams was also named the Mountain West Conference Offensive Player of the Year.
Sophomore goalkeeper Kelli Cornell received second-team honors as she tallied 85 saves throughout the season. Cornell was credited with 10 shutouts and only allowed 11 goals throughout 20 games. She was named Mountain West Conference Defensive Player of the Year.
The selections mark the first time New Mexico players have been named to a regional team for their performances in a season. A total of nine MWC women's soccer players were named to the NCAA All-Pacific Region team.
