Game 10 notes At UNLV (11/3/12)
-New Mexico game captains for Saturday's game were running back Kasey Carrier, tight end Chris Biren and free safety Freddy Young.
-UNM's three-game losing streak is its first since opening the 2011 season with an 0-9 record.
-The Lobos' opponent scored first for the first time since Boise State on Sept. 29, a span of five games.
-UNM was held scoreless in the first quarter, also for the first time in five games.
-UNLV's 97-yard touchdown drive in the second quarter was the longest UNM has allowed this season.
-Carlos Wiggins' 5-yard touchdown run in the third quarter was UNM's 29th rushing TD of the season, tying the 1982 and 1994 teams for third on the school's all-time single-season rushing TD list.
-UNM ran for more than 300 yards for the seventh consecutive game and the eighth time this season.
-RB Chase Clayton established a career-high in rushing yards with 75 on seven carries. He was the first Lobo other than Kasey Carrier to lead the team in rushing since week three against Texas Tech.
-WR Carlos Wiggins scored on a 5-yard touchdown run in the third quarter, his second TD of the season and first since the season opener against Southern.
-RB Kasey Carrier moved into sixth place on UNM's single-season rushing list, surpassing DonTrell Moore's 1,134 yards in 2002. He had 52 rushing yards to give him 1,156 for the season.
-QB Cole Gautsche's 38-yard pass to WR Lamaar Thomas in the fourth quarter was a career -long. Gautsche completed a career high three passes on six attempts for 43 yards.
- LB Joe Stoner recovered a first-quarter fumble against UNLV, his third fumble recovery of the season and the eighth of his career
-SS Matt Raymer forced the fumble, his second of the season. He recorded his first career interception just before the end of the first half, ending a UNLV drive that reached the UNM 20. He forced his second fumble of the game in the third quarter.
-LB Tevin Newman recorded his first career interception in the fourth quarter.
-K Justus Adams converted his 33rd consecutive extra point of the season in the third quarter.
