ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - New Mexico softball opens the 2007 home schedule this weekend against Utah Valley State. The Lobos face the Wolverines Saturday with a doubleheader starting at 4 p.m. The series finale will be Sunday at 12 p.m. All games this weekend will be played at Lobo Field. A small fan guide is listed below to provide additional information for those interested in attending UNM softball games.
Seating: Seating is limited at Lobo Field and fans are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets to enjoy the game from behind the outfield fence. This new fan friendly area behind the fence has been opened to the public for a field level view. The grandstand seating will be available while there is space.
Parking: Fans are encouraged to park on the north end of the stadium for quick and easy access to the park. The entrance to Lobo Field was recently gated so that fans can only enter through the north end. The new design allows fans to easily watch the game from behind the outfield fence as well as walk to the main grandstands. Everyone that parks on the south end of the stadium will be forced to walk around and enter through the north side.
Tickets: Tickets for this weekend can be purchased through the ticket office at (505) 925-LOBO or at the entrance of the field on game day. Adult single tickets are $5 with senior tickets at $4 and youth tickets are $3. Anyone interested in purchasing season or group tickets should call (505) 925-5014.
Lobos Online: All the games this weekend will be available on gametracker though the UNM athletic website www.GoLobos.com. UNM provides gametracker as well as all-access video from Lobo Field during all home games this season.
Concessions: UNM will provide concessions for all games at Lobo Field. No outside food or beverages will be allowed in the park.
Lobo Registration Cards: New Mexico will have registration cards at the Lobo Field ticket office to connect with the fans and supporters of UNM softball. The cards help the softball program provide you with additional information about the program such as newsletters, camps information and updates on the team.
Restrooms: Restrooms will be provided for those in attendance at the baseball facility next door.
Pets: Lobo Field has a strict no pet policy.
Directions: Lobo Field is located south of The Pit. Exit off I-25, just south of the Big-I, at Avenida Cesar Chavez and head east. Turn right (south) on University Boulevard. The Pit and the UNM Ticket Office will be on the right. Turn right into the first entrance just past The Pit.
