  • New Mexico beat San Diego State in the 37th meeting between the two teams, 63-54, extending UNM's win streak to 18 games over SDSU.
  • The Aztecs have not won in The Pit since 1995 and have not won against the Lobos since 2001.
  • In a game that had four ties and three lead changes, the Lobos' largest lead of the night was by 17 with 2:09 remaining in the second half.
  • UNM is now 35-0 when scoring at least 60 points over the past two seasons.
  • The Lobos held the Aztecs to just 10 points in the second half through the first 15 minutes.
  • It was the fourth consecutive game the Lobos out-rebounded their opponents...42-31 on the night.
  • The Lobos did not score a field goal until 15:57 into the first half, but opened the second half with seven straight points.
  • This is the first game in conference play that the Lobos have won after trailing at the half.
  • New Mexico has now won two consecutive conference games at The Pit after starting the season 0-3.
