LUBBOCK, Texas - A two-run sixth inning rally just wasn't enough to help the Lobos overcome a three run deficit this morning at the Mutual of Omaha Lady Raider Classic as Centenary (7-8) held on for a 4-3 win over New Mexico (2-12).

The Lobos opened the game loading the bases on a single and two walks. Freshman Christina Rios would push the lone run across that inning, singling to left field and bringing home sophomore Ryanne Hodgins.

Centenary fired back to put up two runs in the bottom of the inning getting a big contribution from Katie Harwick. Harwick singled in Lauren Flowers, who led off the inning with a triple. Harwick later stole home. Harwick tacked on two more runs in the fifth, reaching on a fielder's choice and taking second, giving Flowers and Jennifer Martin time to score.

The sixth-inning rally for New Mexico began with the first at bat. Freshman Ashley Allen belted her first collegiate career homer over the left field wall. Sophomore Becky Dover followed with a double to center. Hodgins collected her second single of the day with two outs, laying down a bunt so Dover could score. But that is all the Lobos could manage, getting four consecutive outs to end the game.

Senior Ashley Perkins fell to 0-6 on the season with the loss. She threw five innings for two hits, two earned runs, four walks and four strikeouts. Sophomore Caley Peterson threw a perfect inning of relief, striking out one batter. The Ladies' Jessica Ivins earned the win, tossing a six-hit complete game for three earned runs, three walks and six strikeouts.

Hodgins led New Mexico at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one RBI and one run scored. Allen was 1-for-2 with a walk. Flowers and Harwick collected Centenary's only two hits, finishing the day 1-for-2 with one runs scored and 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run scored, respectively.

New Mexico will look to even out the day, taking on UC Riverside at 2 p.m. MT.
