ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. --- University of New Mexico men's tennis team placed six players in the top 30 of the final 2007 Fall ITA Mountain Region rankings. Senior Max Jones topped the Lobos at No. 5 while junior Graeme Kassautzki came in ninth. Junior Johnny Parkes placed 13th right above his brother senior Chris Parkes at 15. Junior Miles Bugby made the list at 19. Rounding out the list is senior Kamil Pajkowski at 28th in the region.

Two doubles teams made the top ten after their performance this fall. Jones and Pajkowski earned second place after advancing to the final of the Regional Tournament. The Parkes brothers, Johnny and Chris, came in at No. 8. The Lobos accomplished a rare task earning six spots out of 30 with over 100 players from the 18 teams in the region fighting for those ranking.

The Lobos will start 2008 at the Indoor Playoffs (Jan. 18) after a stellar performance at the ITA Mountain Regions qualified them to make the trip to Boise.
