CHERRY & SILVER TEAM CAMP (July 29-31, 2005)

The Cherry & Silver Team Camp is designed for high school teams looking to compete at a high level prior to their preseason training. Twenty-four teams will compete on six courts. After two rounds of pool play, teams will be seeded in two separate brackets: Cherry & Silver. The brackets will be double-elimination and a winner will be crowned from each. The UNM coaching staff will conduct two 30-minute all camp clinics throughout the weekend. Included in your fees are five sessions of competition, a minimum of eight matches, certified referees for all matches, a Lobo Volleyball t-shirt, quality assistance from the UNM coaching staff, and two all camp clinics.


Commuter Player-$65 per person

1-3 Commuter Coaches-$65 for up to 3

Resident Player-$100 per person

Resident Coaches-$75 per person

Chaperones-$75 per person


To reserve your team's spot, coaches must fill out an application form for their team and sent it in along with a non-refundable $100 deposit. You must then have each player, coach and chaperone fill out an application form and medical release. Your non-refundable deposit will hold your spot until July 1, when the balance, team roster, all applications, and medical releases are due. If applying after July 1, full payment is due upon registration. Coaches, please organize your team's application and medical releases and turn them in as a group. No applications or medical releases will be accepted on the first day of camp. Any additions or substitutions to your team must be received by 5 p.m. on Thursday, July 21. One check per team in GREATLY appreciated. The team composition may be a minimum of seven players and a maximum of 12 players. Make copies of the individual application and medical release forms before registering your team.

Commuter Coaches: The $65 fee covers up to three coaches for your program.


Camp will begin at 12 p.m. on Friday, July 29 and end by 12 p.m. on Sunday, July 31. Plan travel accordingly. Additional information will be sent when your application is received.


All sessions will be held in the University of New Mexico's Johnson Center in the South Gym.

Campers will receive a parking pass to park in Lot D for the weekend. Commuter Campers may purchase parking permits for $4 on Friday only or may park in any of the paid parking structures. UNM parking services will be ticketing on Friday, July 29.

COACHES - Molten game balls will be provided but you must bring your own balls to warm up with.


Resident campers for the Team Camp will stay in Hokona Hall. Hokona Hall is a UNM dorm that is conveniently located near the dining hall and the gym. The girls will stay two to a room; coaches will assign players to rooms upon check in. Male coaches will be housed in a separate hall. One female chaperone is required for each team. This female chaperone may also be a coach. All resident campers, coaches and chaperones for the Team Camp will eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner at the dining hall. Commuter teams will be responsible for all meals.


All participants must have their own medical insurance through their family policy or some other source that will serve as their primary coverage. Registrations will not be accepted if the medical release form is not signed and filled out in its entirety. Each camper, coach, or chaperone must either complete the attached medical form OR complete the electronic medical release when they register online. Full-time certified trainers will be on-site to treat any and all injuries. Coaches, you must bring your own medical kit and supplies.
