My50-TV to Carry Lobo Men's and Women's Basketball Games

The University of New Mexico has selected men's and women's basketball games to air locally on My50-TV this season. A total of eight games - five men's and three women's - will be broadcast on My50-TV throughout New Mexico.

"My50-TV is thrilled to be the only local Broadcast Television Station in New Mexico to bring our viewers Lobo basketball and the Coaches Show", stated Stan Gill, VP and General Manager of My50-TV. "We value our relationship with the University of New Mexico and look forward to providing MY50-TV viewers the biggest name in local sports - The Lobos."

On the men's side, My50-TV will carry three home games and two road games in the Lobos' non-conference season. My50-TV will showcase UNM's exhibition game against Western New Mexico on Nov. 8 at 3 p.m., Nov. 20 against Grambling at 7 p.m. and Nov. 22 against Central Florida at 7 p.m. The games against Grambling and Central Florida are a part of the Cancun Challenge played in The Pit.

My50-TV will also pick up the local broadcast of UNM's games at San Diego on Dec. 10 at 8 p.m. (M.S.T.) and Texas Tech at 11 a.m. (M.S.T.). The San Diego game will be produced by 4SD in San Diego, Calif., while the game with the Red Raiders is produced by the Texas Tech Television Network.

Scott Stiegler will proved the play-by-play and former Lobo Hunter Greene will handle the color analysis for the Lobo men's games played in The Pit.

With the announcement, New Mexico now has a total of 23 games that will broadcast on TV this season, including five on My50-TV, 12 on The Mountain West Sports Network (The Mtn.), three on Versus and three on CBS College Sports.

On the women's side, My50-TV will air the Lobos' non-conference home matchup against UTEP on Dec. 16. at 7 p.m. My 50 TV will also broadcast Mountain West Conference games in The Pit against UNLV on Jan. 7 at 7 p.m. and San Diego State on Jan. 21 at 7 p.m.

Stiegler will also provide play-by-play for the Lobo women's games with former Lobo Abbie Letz adding the color analysis.

The Lobo women will have a total of nine games on television during the 2008-09 schedule. In addition to the three on My50-TV, UNM will have four games on The Mtn. and two on CBS College Sports.

My50-TV can be found on channel 50 over the air, channel 12 on Comcast basic cable in the Albuquerque area, channel 50 on Direct TV and Dish Network, and channel 3 on Cable One, Rio Rancho.
