  • Lobo Athletics' Graduation Rate Higher Than All-Student Rate

WACO, Texas -- The University of New Mexico was one of 41 Football Bowl Subdivision programs recognized by the American Football Coaches Association today for its graduation rate success. New Mexico received Honorable Mention Academic Achievement Award accolades for recording a graduation rate of 75 percent or more for members of its freshman student-athlete class of 2002. The AFCA uses the NCAA's Graduation Success Rate (GSR) formula to select the award recipients. The GSR is based on a six-year graduation window for student-athletes.
