AUSTIN, Texas - Senior Becca Barras again proved that she can compete with the nation's best collegiate divers, placing fourth on the 1-meter board at the University of Texas Longhorns Invitational. Barras turned in a scored of 271.15 in the finals after scoring 249.70 in the prelims.
The Lobos are currently tied for 10th place (29 points) with SMU but are only participating in the diving portion of the tournament. Arizona, Arizona State, Wisconsin, Texas, and Hawaii are all competing in both. Nebraska, Southern Methodist, Wyoming, UCLA, Texas Christian, Southern Cal, and California are competing on the boards.
The New Mexico women's diving team returns to the pool for the platform tomorrow. The meet will conclude the Lobos' fall season.
