The University of New Mexico, a NCAA Division I institution and member of the Mountain West Conference (MWC), is currently soliciting nominations and expressions of interest for the position of Head Women's Volleyball Coach. This will be a fulltime position reporting to the Senior Women's Athletic Director. Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree and at least three years of directly related experience. The Head Women's Volleyball Coach is responsible for building and maintaining a competitive Division I volleyball program. Specific duties include but are not limited to: coaching the team in all practices and matches; scheduling all contests; managing a budget; maintaining compliance to all UNM, MWC, and NCAA rules; participating in marketing, fundraising, and public relations initiatives; recruiting prospective student athletes capable of achieving academic and athletic success; establishing a culture within the program that fosters the personal, academic, and athletic development of all members of the team. Preferences will be given to candidates with: coaching experience in a successful collegiate volleyball program; successful experience recruiting for NCAA qualified student athletes; experience in scheduling, budgeting, public relations, fundraising, and promotions; knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations demonstrated in resume.
