Lobo head coach Don Flanagan -
"We had a little difficulty with their defenses, TCU showed a 1-3-1, 2-3 and man-to-man along with a variety of others.
"Georonika (Jackson) was unguarded so she had free opportunities to shoot today. TCU was leaving what they thought was our worst shooter open and giving them the opportunity to shoot. Georonika was wide open and they didn't even come over and contest. That was kind of an unusual defense and then they started mixing it up.
"I didn't think we shot real well early on. We had some people nervous shooting and we need to get over that.
"Amy (Beggin) played very well down the stretch and Angela (Hartill) started to play better. Georonika played the best game of her life and I'm real happy for her. Last game, I talked with her and told her I made a mistake by not putting her back in. I told her to be ready and I guess she was ready to play. It was the best game I've ever seen her play. She played very well.
On guarding Helena Sverrisdottir:
"What Sverrisdottir does is if you put a guard on her then she will try to post you up but if you put a post on her then she will drive. She is just a smart, smart player. If you put her on the free throw line then she isn't going to hit nothing but net. She hardly hits the rim on free throws. We kept fouling her.
"Amanda (Adamson) had some problems guarding Sverrisdottir early but late her defense on her was pretty good. She got a steal late and I thought it was a momentum changer.
"TCU is talented and have a lot of kids who are capable of scoring. They have good sized kids. They are big so it's kind of hard to matchup with. "
On how much the win helps with confidence:
"Confidence is real important. I told them that tonight was a game for third place in the conference right now. If we got by tonight then we would have a shot at first place. You don't want to be the fourth seed in the tournament. At this point, TCU was the team we
"We have to play better at home. We seem timid and afraid to make mistakes at home but we need to get over that. We have to win at home."
Junior Georonika Jackson -
On tonight's career game:
"This was a career night for me. I saw they were leaving me open so I relaxed and hit my shots. I felt good tonight even though I don't get caught up in the emotional side of the game. I just tried to do the basics. Take care of the basketball, hit my shots and help my team win."
Senior Angela Hartill -
What did coach say at halftime:
"Coach told me to relax and play my game. I was able to do that in the second half and luckily it worked."
On the bench production:
"It shows that we are a lot harder team to defend than most teams think. I feel people view us as a starting five team but Georonika stepping up like this shows that anyone on any given night can lead the way.
