CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. --- New Mexico women's soccer battled No. 18 Colorado to a scoreless draw Sunday in Charlottesville, Va. UNM outshot the Buffaloes 13-10 and finished the match with four shots on goal. The Lobos concluded the Virginia Nike Soccer Classic with an overall record of 3-2-1. Colorado is 2-1-3 overall after the tie.

"We faced two great opponents in a high level tournament this weekend and we did some really good things," said UNM head coach Kit Vela. "We held a nationally-ranked Colorado team scoreless today and played well for the majority of the match. We grew miles this weekend and the experience competing against top competition will only help us prepare for the Mountain West Conference."

Senior Terryn Granados led UNM with three shots and one on goal. Forwards Hannah Hand and Alexis Ball both took two shots, while midfielder Anna Neu fired two shots as well.

Junior Shannon Adragna played the full 110 minutes in goal and recorded two saves. The Albuquerque native has made four starts this season and posted 13 saves.

UNM travels to El Paso, Texas next weekend for the UTEP Invitational. The Lobos will take on North Dakota State Friday before concluding the tournament against UTEP Sunday. For more information about Lobo athletics visit www.GoLobos.com.
