ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - Trailing 3-0 in the bottom of the fourth, junior transfer Dan Hayduk laced a two-run triple to center to ignite a comeback for the Silver Slammers, who went on to win game three of the 2008 Cherry & Silver Fall Baseball Classic, 5-3. The Slammers hold a 2-1 advantage in the series.

Hayduk's triple plated Ben Woodchick, who had singled to lead off the inning, and Rafael Neda, who had walked. Hayduk drove in two runs during the four-run inning that put the Silver Slammers in the lead, 4-3. Sophomore Anthony Martinez followed with an RBI ground rule double and would score one batter later thanks to a Travis Haguewood single to right.

Senior Dane Hamilton upped the lead to 5-3 with a solo blast for the Slammers in the bottom of the fifth.

The Big Red Machine took an early lead thanks to a RBI single off the bat of Danny Gonzalez. The Machine added two more runs in the second off Silver starter Bobby Moore giving them a 3-0 advantage. With two outs, Max Willett smacked a double into the left field corner and Brian Cavazos-Galvez followed with a walk to give the Machine runners on first and second. Both runs crossed home when Justin Howard's sharply hit grounder went under the glove of third baseman Hayduk.

Hayduk, Martinez, and Haguewood collected two hits each for the Slammers, while all but two batters had a hit for the Big Red Machine.

Bobby Moore notched the win, tossing 4.1 innings with five hits and only one earned run allowed. Daniel Grubbs closed out the ninth, retiring three straight to collect the save.

The series continues on Thursday, Oct. 30 at 1 p.m. at Isotopes Park.
