ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - The University of New Mexico women's basketball program announced today that one more prospective student-athlete will be enrolling at the University of New Mexico in the fall of 2007. The final signed letter of intent was received from Amanda Best (Woodinville High School/Snohomish, Wash.) She joins Jessica Kielpinski (Mandan High School/Mandan, N.D.), Kelsey Ansley (Marble Falls High School/Marble Falls, Texas), Nikki Nelson (Jenkins High School/Chewelah, Wash.) and Porche Torrance (Heritage High School/Colleyville, Texas) as the class of 2011.
Amanda Best, a 5-11 guard from Snohomish, Washington joins New Mexico from Woodinville High School. Best was a member of the 2006 Sea King District 4A Championship team that finished seventh at the Washington State Tournament. She was a member of the 2005 Blue Star Fall Showcase All-Star team in Las Vegas. Best averaged 14.5 points a game last season.
