ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - The Lobo women's basketball team returns to the The Pit on Sunday afternoon as they play host to the Utes of the University of Utah. New Mexico is 10-4 on the year and 0-1 in the MWC, while Utah is 8-6 on the season and 1-0 in the conference. Tip-off is scheduled for 3:00 PM on Sunday afternoon. The game will be televised by CSTV and can be heard live on 610 AM The Sports Animal.

TONIGHT'S GAME: Tonight's game features the Lobos of the University of New Mexico playing at home against the Utes of the University of Utah in a Mountain West Conference game. The sponsors for tonight's game are Farmer's Insurance and 770 KKOB

SCOUTING THE LOBOS: New Mexico is 10-4 this season and 0-1 in the MWC with victories over Florida Atlantic (74-44), No. 25 Texas (63-60), Georgia Southern (64-43), Siena (78-39), New Mexico State (81-47 and 65-45), at Arizona (76-63), Sam Houston State (77-41), UCLA (72-63) and Northern Arizona (62-51) and losses to No. 12/13 Arizona State (67-49), Nebraska (66-59), No. 7/8 Oklahoma (80-58) and Wyoming (54-51). UNM is led in scoring by senior Julie Briody at 16.8 ppg and rebounding by junior Dionne Marsh at 6.4 rpg. Leading the Lobos in assists is senior Katie Montgomery at 3.1 apg.

SCOUTING THE UTES: Utah is 8-6 on the season and 1-0 in conference with wins Utah Valley State (70-68 2 OT), Weber State (77-43), Long Beach State (66-43), USC (70-66), Arizona (66-60), Montana State (66-63), Northwestern (80-69) and San Diego State (51-48) and losses to Gonzaga (57-45), Fresno State (61-55), Pittsburgh (59-51), Oregon (50-44), Stanford (74-47) and Georgetown (60-57) The Utes are led in scoring by Morgan Warburton at 14.6 ppg and rebounding by Joh-Teena Filipe at 6.5 rpg. Warburton also leads them in assists at 3.0 apg.

THE COACHES: UNM is led by head coach Don Flanagan who enters his 12th season at New Mexico. Flanagan is 249-108 at UNM. The head coach of Utah is Elaine Elliott who is in her 23rd year as a Ute and has a record of 498-199.
