Women's Sports Foundation Tournament
Dayton Flyers vs. Northwestern Wildcats
November 9, 2007

Northwestern University head coach Beth Combs

Thoughts on the game:

"I'm real proud of our team. You don't know what to expect the first time out. Dayton played hard. They played harder than us. We had to really answer and to really dig down. For us to head into overtime, honestly not really being prepared...first game of the season...I think our kids did a great job."

On playing in The Pit:

"It's a great environment. I'm looking forward to playing in the New Mexico game and the place is rockin'. I hear it's a great, fantastic environment."

University of Dayton Head Coach Jim Jaber

Thoughts on the game:

"I'm upset we lost, disappointed, but I told the girls that I was really proud of their effort. I thought we had of lapses. Defensively we gave up some open jump shots. Overall I am very please of the efforts that our kids had."

Thoughts on playing in The Pit:

"I think it's a great environment. I am very interested to see what it is like when New Mexico is on the court."

Thoughts about the tournament:

"You always want to win that first one because playing New Mexico on their home court is not an easy task. Now you don't want to go 0-2 but it's a great environment that we can learn a lot in, that's why we came."
