Las Vegas, Nev. - New Mexico seniors Miles Bugby and Johnny Parkes were defeated today in the doubles finals at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Fall Regional. The duo fell 8-5 to Denver's Andrew Landwerlan and Martin Zimmermann.

Parkes and Bugby won four consecutive matches at the event, including two wins over conference rival Utah and one win over UNLV.

With a win, the pair would have received an automatic berth to the ITA National Team Indoors.

Parkes dominated in singles as well, coming one win shy of entering the finals on Saturday. Parkes notched four consecutive victories on the weekend. Parkes was one of four remaining players in the draw of 128.

The Lobos conclude fall action with the UNLV Fall Invitational from Oct. 30-Nov. 2.
