ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.-- The University of New Mexico men's tennis team will spend the weekend in Corpus Christi, Texas, for the HEB Invitational on Friday and Saturday. The Lobos improved to 6-5 after beating Sacramento State 4-3 on Wednesday.
The Lobos, No. 58, will be one of eight teams in the two-day invitational. The other programs participating are Middle Tennessee, Nebraska, Old Dominion, South Alabama, Texas Tech, Western Michigan and host Texas A&M-Corpus Christi.
New Mexico has played or will play all the teams taking part in the HEB Invitational. The Lobos beat Middle Tennessee, 4-3, on Feb. 9. Texas Tech swept New Mexico in the most recent match for the Lobos in Las Cruces on Saturday.
On March 8-9, the Lobos will compete against Western Michigan and Nebraska in Lincoln. UNM returns home to face Old Dominion, South Alabama and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi on consecutive dates starting March 20.
