New Mexico Head Coach Don Flanagan
"We shot well, obviously we've shot better. We pushed the ball in transition, we wanted to get the ball down the court quickly. I'm telling them to shoot in transition because I feel like we're going to get a better opportunity to get an offensive rebound through transition shooting. Then if we didn't get transition then I wanted to be selective and pass and reverse the ball or give it to Dionne (Marsh) and let her take the play."
On using this game to help the team recover
"Really with taking Katie (Montgomery) out after she got stepped on right off the bat in the game. She was starting to limp a little bit and I know that's painful. We had an opportunity to get Jana (Francis) out of there. She has a bruised bone and the lack of playing time helped her. One of the best things you can do in a game like that is get everyone in and get them playing time. People that need the time, people that need the experience and people that need the confidence. Rachel should be practicing tomorrow and it's unfortunate that she couldn't play tonight because she would have had an opportunity to play a lot. "
Colorado State Head Coach Jen Warden
"New Mexico played a great game tonight. Coach Flanagan has built a really strong program and we're looking forward to watching throughout the spring representing the Mountain West Conference. "
