SALT LAKE CITY, Utah --- New Mexico battled No. 27 Utah to a scoreless draw Sunday in Salt Lake City, Utah. Lobo goalkeeper Shannon Adragna made 13 saves to shutout the nationally-ranked Utes on their home turf. UNM moves to 7-4-3 overall and 1-2-1 in the Mountain West Conference. Utah goes to 10-2-4 on the year and 2-0-2 in the conference.
Freshman Alexis Ball fired three of the 10 shots taken by New Mexico. The Lobos finished the match with five shots on frame. Senior Terryn Granados and freshman Jennifer Nielsen both had two shots. UNM had three corner kicks in the match compared to five by the Utes.
Utah finished the game with 29 shots and 13 on goal.
The match was sixth overtime game for New Mexico this fall and the second in as many games. Sunday marked the first time in UNM history that the Lobos had tied or beaten the Utes in Salt Lake City.
