Hodgins Named To ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District VI First Team

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - Sophomore Ryanne Hodgins has been honored on the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District VI First Team announced today in her first year of eligibility. Hodgins is one of just two athletes on the 11-player first team to hold a 4.0 GPA.

A Journalism/Mass Communications major with a Spanish minor, Hodgins holds a .319 batting average with a team-high 166 at bats. She also leads the team in hits (53), triples (3) and stolen bases (6). Hodgins is one of five Lobos to have played in all 47 games this season, starting all of them in right field.

Hodgins also ranks among the best in the Mountain West Conference. She is fourth in at bats, fifth in total plate appearances, sixth in hits and triples and seventh in stolen bases.

Hodgins is now eligible for the ESPN Academic All-America Team, which will be announced on Thursday, June 2.
